Change block
A wedge of finished wood that carries the value marker, declaring what a colour is worth on the layout.
When a player buys in for colour, the rate has to be visible to the table, to the inspector and to the camera. The change block seats the marker on a solid wooden wedge at an angle, where it cannot be knocked flat or misread. Finishes are matched to the table, so it looks like part of the furniture rather than a spare part.
